Suspected Killers of Late Kwara State Commisioner of Police Arrested




Suspected killers of late Kwara State commissioner of police, Chinwike Asadu, have been arrested, by the Nigerian police force.
 Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar, said on Wednesday in Enugu during his official working visit to the state,  seven suspects were nabbed following the killing of Asadu last week.
He said the law enforcement agents also recovered weapons and arms used by the killers during their operations.
Inspector General Abubakar said the suspected killers have since appeared in court for initial hearing.
He said following the confessional statements by the seven suspected culprits, the police were now on the trail of other collaborators in the murder case.
“We have arrested seven of those behind the killing of CP Chinwike Asadu; his killing was indeed a sad incident and that’s why when I visited the family after the incident, I made a promise that we shall stop at nothing to get those behind that dastardly act.
“I am glad to tell Nigerians that of those who took part in the killing, seven have been arrested and arraigned before a court”, he said.
He gave the names of the suspects as Ogechukwu Uzoh, Ogechukwu Nnadi, Ugwuoke Obiora, Okwuosa Anthony, Chukwudi Enete, Davil Elvis Aja and Amobi Nnamchi.
“These are the seven persons charged for murder; aside the killing of the CP, 
they also confessed to killing other innocent souls and several acts of criminality”. 
The late commissioner was shot dead in Enugu on Saturday March 2nd
