National Emergency Management
Agency,NEMA, has started the distribution of relief materials to victims of
last week mayhem in Bama, where 55 persons security personnel were
killed when the dreaded Boko Haram sect attacked the ancient town.
A
Delegation from NEMA headquarters led by the Director of Administration, Dr.
Zanna Muhammed was in Bama at the weekend to deliver the relief materials to
the victims of the attack on security formations by suspected members of the
dreaded Boko Haram sect.
In
a press release by the Northeast Information Officer of the agency, AbdulKadir
Ibrahim, the displaced persons, as a result of the attack are now sheltered at
the Mobile Police Base in Bama.
Ibrahim
revealed that Dr. Mohammed who represented the Director General of the agency
was accompanied to the town by NEMA officials from the North-East zonal office.
He
said the team leader sympathised with the families of the slain security
officials, and was at the palace of the Paramount Traditional Ruler(Shehu) of
Bama to empathize with his Royal Highness, Alhaji Kyari Umar Ibn Elkanemi on
the unfortunate occurrence which befell the area.
