Ekiti: Introduces entrepreneurial education into school curricula




In a bid combat the rising level of graduate unemployment in Nigeria, the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board has introduced Entrepreneurial Education into the school curricula, outside of the usual academic work. Read more...
 Speaking during an exhibition held at the Universal Basic Education Board in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Modupe Adelabu, explained that the idea was to equip the students with the relevant skills to enable them stand on their own without necessarily running after non existing white-collar jobs after leaving school.

The exhibition featured primary school pupils and parents from across the Local Government areas of the state, who showcased their talents.

The wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Bisi Fayemi, who was present at the exhibition, expressed delight that this was a step in the right direction and that the State Government would continue to assist and promote creativity and innovation through the acquisition of the requisite entrepreneurial skills.
