Formal South African President died yesterday at age 95


South Africa's first black president and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela has died at the age of 95.
Mr Mandela led South Africa's transition from white-minority rule in the 1990s, after 27 years in prison for his political activities.
He had been receiving intensive medical care at home for a lung infection after spending three months in hospital.
The announcement of Mandela's death was made by President Jacob Zuma "Our nation has lost its greatest son," Mr Zuma said.Read more..............

Live on TV Maltina Dance All Season 7


 HAVING elected contestants for the season 7 of the Maltina Dance All (MDA) reality show, the stage is now set for the family dance competition, as the organised have announced plans to commence screening on Sunday. Meanwhile, 13 out of the 25 family representatives that were selected during the regional auditions were able to qualify their families for the show. The number would be further reduced to 10 families, who will eventually be admitted into the MDA academy. Based on the schedule, the show will continue on a daily basis until the grand finale, which will be held on September 21, 2013 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Read more.....

Good News:Health Workers Suspend Strike

Wow!!!The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has suspended the strike which began on the 19th of August following an agreement reached between the unions, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Federal Ministry of Health and the Head of Service.
Addressing journalists at the end of the meeting which lasted about 12 hours, Minister of Labour and Productivity, Mr. Emeka Wogu announced that an understanding has been reached with the unions.

Royal Wedding: Kirsty Crooks Marries Prince

Kirsty Crooks, 27, of Loughgall, became a royal after marrying Nigerian Prince Mustapha Oniru on Thursday, according to Portadown Times report.
The small village welcomed royal guests from Africa including the Prince’s father HRM Oba (King) Idowu Abiodun Oniru and Queen Olori Arike Oniru as well as an entourage of officials and chiefs.
Prince Mustapha wore a wedding suit while his parents wore traditional Nigerian dress in what the bride’s mother described as a "very traditional Irish wedding".

    Freshly minted 100m World champion Usain Bolt is delighted to have regained the title he lost two years ago, but admitted disappointment at not testing his own 9.58-second world record in the 100m final at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics inside the Luzhniki Stadium yesterday.

    Nelson Mandela's Health Continues to Improve

     

    Former South African President Remains in Critical Yet Stable Condition. The South African presidency said Tuesday, nearly two months since the former leader was admitted to hospital with a lung infection.
    The formal statement on Mr. Mandela's health comes after a weekend report from CBS, citing unnamed sources, that said he received an operation on Friday to unblock a dialysis tube. A spokesman for President Jacob Zuma declined to comment on the report. Read more...
